Celebrity MUA lunches educational and fun cosmetics Brunch Series
Houston, Texas– Celebrity makeup artist and cosmetics company owner Karien D is bringing a fun, unique and glamorous educational experience to Houston. Beauty Over Brunch featuring Komplexx Blends Cosmetics will offer cosmetic enthusiasts of all levels a one of a kind hands on learning experience by one of the beauty industries top MUA’S and beauty influencers. This opulent learning experience will take place over a full course brunch featuring bottomless mimosas offering class goers a more relaxed beauty class experience. This must attend beauty event will take place on September 23, 2018 in Houston, Texas at the Courtyard by Marriott Houston International Airport on 15838 JFK Blvd.
In this class Celebrity MUA Karian D of Komplexx Blends Cosmetics, will teach a full face day makeup application and transition to an evening look. Karian will discuss the must have items in a make up kit, break down a complete look from start to finish, discuss the shelf life of some of our your products, determine how to pick out foundations, knowing skin and other must know beauty tips. The class will be fun, upbeat yet still informative.

Komplexx Blends Cosmetics was founded in Detroit, MI by Karian Newby-Durham. She believed that the cosmetic industry did not make products for every skin color and wanted to make a difference; thus Komplexx Blends Cosmetics was born. This company offers products in a variety of color tones and not just in
foundations. There is something for everyone. While tackling the color confusion, Karian also wanted to make a difference by giving back to the community. Komplexx Blends Cosmetics donates a portion of its proceeds to the Parkinson’s foundation in honor of Karian’s grandmother, Sallie V. Newby with the hope that someday a cure will be found.
About Karian:
Karian D., a native of Detroit, MI, currently resides in Houston, TX. She became seriously interested in makeup and the artistry at the age of 16. Performing in numerous dance recitals and modeling helped pave the way for her to become the artist she is today. Karian got her first big break by being both a featured model and makeup artist (MUA) for her godfather’s magazine company, NU Look, which is based in Detroit, MI. After high school, Karian continued her education at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX where she received a B.A. in Marketing in 2009. She then went on to complete her esthetician training and became a licensed esthetician in the state of Texas.
